Coaching, Mentoring and Action Learning for Creative Lives and Business

Coaching and mentoring are distinctly different approaches to supporting your personal and professional development. Action Learning is a coaching based method of working in ‘sets’ ‘teams’ or groups who have a shared interest or agenda.

Individual Coaching and Action Learning can both be on any topic or issue.  Both are solution focused and in simple terms, are techniques which aim to enable you to get from where you are now, to where you want to be. Action learning facilitation enables the experience and knowledge of the group your are working with to inform the questions that you respond to.

A mentor is related but different, offers specialist support and the benefit of specific experience in a particular area.

Carol is accredited and experienced in all of these methods – trained by Lancashire County Council, Relational Dynamics 1st and The Action Learning Centre, and endorsed by ILM, she brings to her clients many years of supporting the personal, creative and professional development of young people and adults.

A good coach believes that your mind has answers already, and that asking the right questions will allow you to access solutions and identify achievable steps towards your goals and dreams.

Action Learning is increasingly valued by companies and teams of all sizes to improve performance  and job satisfaction. “Action learning uses confidential peer groups to help you explore and resolve your own real work issues. The process is action-oriented, developmental and focused on results.”  (Action Learning Centre)

Carol is an experienced mentor and is accredited by CIDA for mentoring creative entrepreneurs. Carol brings a wealth of experience as a practising artist, as a teacher and facilitator of creative youth and community development work and as a businesswoman in private enterprise.

Individual coaching and/or mentoring can be conducted in person or by telephone or Skype appointment. Sessions normally last for fifty minutes, but longer sessions and full day intensive coaching is also offered if that’s a good solution for you.

Please email or telephone for a free and  informal chat about what you might need, then an initial session of about fifty minutes is offered to enable mutual agreement regarding your coaching or mentoring arrangement.
